Crowtail Pulse sensor is used to measure human heart rate. Heart rate data can be really useful, whether it’s for designing an exercise routine, studying your activity or anxiety levels or just flashing your shirt with your heartbeat. The problem is that heart rate is hard to measure. The Pulse Sensor Amped is a plug-and-play heart rate sensor for Arduino. It combines a simple optical heart rate sensor with amplification and noise suppression circuitry, making it quick and easy to get reliable heart rate readings.
Uses only 4mA of current at 5V and is therefore great for mobile applications. Hold the Pulse sensor against your earlobe or fingertip and connect it to a 3 or 5 Volt Arduino and you are ready to measure heart rate.
