EL Wire 6V Sound Activated Pocket Inverter a small, portable inverter for EL wire with an audio input! This inverter has a small microphone and makes the connected EL light up according to the surrounding audio volume. The inverter needs a 6V power supply for example 4x AA batteries. This inverter can drive 2-3 meters of EL wire or 1 meter of tape or a 10x10xm panel for about 21 hours on 4 AA batteries.
Comes with a 2,5mm female JST connector. There are also two power cables, you need to connect these to a 12VDC power supply. The white striped wire goes to +12V, the solid black wire goes to ground.
Please note, do not turn on the inverter without at least 70cm EL wire connected to avoid damaging the inverter.

Bought this converter as an introduction to EL wire. It works well, only the connector is not the right one for the el wire I bought and I don't find the microphone particularly sensitive.
