Description
The 5V Electronic Windmill Kit is an ideal project for anyone who wants to learn to solder or gain more insight into MCU-controlled LED animations. Thanks to the built-in STC15F104EA microcontroller, the vertical LEDs are driven in a pattern, creating a rotating windmill.
The kit is designed for education, hobbies, and experimental electronics projects. With just a 5V power supply, the windmill operates safely and easily, and thanks to the compact PCB design, the project is manageable and quick to complete.
The speed of the rotating LED animation can be adjusted via buttons S1 and S2 – ideal for demonstrating the effect interactively.
The print on the PCB shows where the components should go. The longest leg on the components is the + and the short leg is the -.
Electronic wind turbine kit 5V components:
– Red LEDs: 3 mm (D1–D19) 19 pieces
– Metal film resistors: 1K (R1–R4) 4 pieces
– Push buttons: 6×6 mm (S1, S2) 2 pieces
– MCU chip: STC15F104EA (SMD‑8) 1 piece
– Male pin connector: DC 2P 1 piece
– PCB board: 40×50 mm 1 piece
How does the wind turbine kit work?
– The MCU controls the LEDs in a specific sequence.
– This creates a rotating animation effect, similar to the blades of a windmill.
– Every press of a button changes the rotation speed.
– The circuit operates on a safe 5V power supply, suitable for children, students, and hobbyists.
