HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor uses sonar to determine distance to an object. The sensor provides excellent accuracy and stable measurements. An easy module complete with ultrasonic transmitter and receiver. Sunlight or black material will not affect the measurements.
HC-SR04 Ultrasonic sensor specifications:
– Works on: 5V.
– Standby consumption: <2mA
– Effective angle: <15°.
– Range: 2cm – 400cm.
– Resolution: 0.3cm.
The HC-SR04 module has 4 pins:
Vcc: 5.0 volt power supply
Trig: sends the signal
Echo: receives the signal
Gnd: Ground

For a low price a good, accurate distance sensor, easy to connect to your Arduino, just upload the code and the measuring can start. This module works fine for me from a distance of 2 cm. I wanted to measure the water level in a container with it and this works very well, as long as it is an open system. With a lid on and this sensor inserted, condensation can form on the sensor and the measurement is affected.
