Description
LM2596 DC-DC adjustable step-down power supply module with voltmeter for reducing a supply voltage based on the LM2596 voltage regulator. The input voltage may be between 4 and 40 Volts. The output voltage can be set to 1.3V to 37V using the adjustable resistor. The LED display shows the input voltage or output voltage and can also be switched off.

Exactly what I was looking for Raspberry to operate on a 12v battery. The adjustable resistance does require some turning before the voltage drops.
